You will be working with a registered nutritionist dedicated to helping you achieve your nutrition and health goals.  Expect science and evidence based advice and recommendations that will work with your reality.  This is not a fad or popular diet plan – it is a solution that fits your individual needs.

In your one-on-one consult Miriam will build a comprehensive picture of your lifestyle and health goals.  She will discuss:

  • any relevant medical history,
  • your day to day eating habits,
  • exercise habits,
  • your likes, dislikes and challenges.
  • what you hope to achieve and why,

Together, Miriam and you will pave out a plan, setting smaller goals to help you reach your bigger goal.  Every professional has her tools.  Food is Miriam’s.  Expect advice, tools and strategies that bring real food into real life.

Follow up consults are typically every 2-4 weeks, depending on each individual client and where we are at in your journey. These sessions are about addressing your challenges, celebrating your success and ensuring accountability. We will review your eating habits and work together to address challenges.

We feel very strongly about working together rather than telling you what to do.  We become your partner in your journey and your ally. This is the most effective way to make lasting healthy lifestyle changes and building lifelong positive habits.

The 6-week group nutrition and wellness program is about building a support network of people, to motivate each other, provide opportunities for discussion and ultimately keep you accountable on your journey to reach your goals.

To kick off the program you will do an initial 1-hour one-on-one consult to discuss any personal concerns, challenges, determine your baseline and set your goals.  Once you understand your starting point there are 6 weeks of topics carefully selected to empower you with the knowledge tools and strategies on how to reach your goals.

The topics we cover each week are:

  1. Nutritional needs across your lifespan
  2. Carbohydrates aren’t the enemy.
  3. fats and protein
  4. Gut health
  5. Plate proportions
  6. Reading nutrition labels

Having questions between sessions is common so we have set up a closed Facebook group so you can ask them and also receive some of the valuable info, recipes, research and tips that Miriam and other members of the group share.  This can prove to be a valuable resource that keeps you on track and motivated so reaching your goals is realistic.
